I am pleased that you are willing to contribute your valuable time to serve as an official representative of your faculty colleagues to the UT Faculty Senate. Your work will have a major impact on the mission of the University of Tennessee. All Senators will be assigned to one, but not more than two committees. The duties of a Faculty Senator are to: 1. Represent the constituency and the broader interests of the faculty. 2. Attend and participate in Senate meetings on a regular basis. 3. Participate actively in the appropriate College or Division caucus. 4. Communicate and interact regularly with constituents. 5. Maintain active membership on at least one Senate or Administrative standing committee. 6. Serve on other committees and task forces as needed; participate in Senate retreats, training, and information sessions. Please fill out the form below. DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, APRIL 20! If you have any special concerns, please call me at 974-7511 or email me at dpatter2@utk.edu. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. David Patterson President-elect UTK Faculty Senate
